What are "catch-all" emails?

Keep in mind that it is not always possible to verify the existence of an email address. The reason? Catch-all!  

A company may have configured its mail server as a "catch-all", which means that the server accepts to receive all emails from the domain, even if the address does not exist. In this case it will be impossible to know if an email address exists or not. Your emails may end their life without ever having a reader or even a real recipient, while you continue to restart them for nothing ...

When the domains provided in your files are "catch-all" tagged domains, we cannot validate the email addresses we find. 

Dropcontact provides validated email addresses (bounce rate, etc.). 

Contrary to "urban rumors" you have to send the emails in catch-all, otherwise you will always exclude from your prospecting companies that are significant targets.

Thus, email addresses qualified as unconfirmed/catch-all cannot be verified:

  • on nominative email addresses the bounce rate is
  • on unconfirmed/catch-all email addresses the bounce rate is
